President Kikwete yesterday set out his government agenda for the next five years in a speech which was interrupted by the walkout of the opposition chadema MPs.In his speech, President Kikwete put emphasis on the building the middle class economy and empowering small and medium entrepreneurs, farmer, pastoraslists and fishermen.In a speech to officially open the 10th Parliament yesterday, Mr Kikwete outlined 13 priority areas, which his government is going to concentrate in the next five years.But no sooner he has started his speech after being welcomed by the Speaker, Ms Anne Makinda, Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema MPs walked out.

Immediately after Chadema MPs have vacated their seats, their counterparts from the Civic United Front (CUF) shifted from their customary seats and moved to Chadema MP positions and President Kikwete resumed his speech.Though President Kikwete says “The election is over, we must now concentrate in building our country,” he stressed noting that he was ready to work together with fellow politicians and religious leaders to heal the election wounds resulting from religious rifts. Did Y'all see how the president put his tongue out then pretended to be coughing! hahahhahahahahh!!! Did y'all see dat grin! Nashindwa kuacha kucheka...This was all so childish!! I loved how the CUF occupied the CHADEMA seats, like a sign of unity, support...now thats something right there..we are a peaceful country..though I hope Ngumi never breaks out in the parliament loh
I'm not sure if this was necessary and Im not sure if it was not, they have been complaining for a while now how the dont recognize the president...Anyway..Neutral and commentless on this event until I talk to atleast one CHADEMA MP on the essence of the walk out then maybe I will give my views as well, I feel that CHADEMA has inbound wounds from the election still, they need to lick them, heal and do what they were chosen to do this behaviour just fuels people like us 'who love drama' with something to talk about, though its been a while since we had some parliamentary drama donchu think..teh teh teh! lol
