Discarded parachute: Kenyan based designer Nike Kondakis creates an ethical spin on designs using recycled parachutes and even incorporates the draw strings within the outfit.Nike founded KONDAKIS three years ago. KONDAKIS is a responsible fashion company - both socially and environmentally. All collections are produced locally and the people involved are being paid a fair price for their work. Furthermore a percentage of KONDAKIS' turnover goes towards educating Maasai girls in the Kenyan bush.She "re designs" by creating garments from recycled parachutes and accessories from dead wood and found object.
