Ugandan Gay Ban

Uganda’s recent anti-homosexuality bill is attracting international condemnation. Protesters have been gathering outside many of Uganda’s international embassies this week, trying to draw attention to the course of action being taken by the Ugandan government. One photo that caught my eye in the Metro this week, was of a protester holding a banner. The banner said, ‘UGANDA’S GAY BAN IS COLONIAL HANGOVER.’
This is an interesting statement; it is multi-layered and can be read in one of two ways.
