Marrakech International Film Festival , Morocco

Marrakech Film Festival, its Like the Cannes Of Africa!..It is quickly gaining rank! Giving opportunities for people around the world to converge upon the gorgeous city simply for the joy of cinema,held annually in Marrakech, Morocco since 2000. It is one of the biggest events devoted to the film in Morocco...


Celebrated its 10th anniversary Friday night,The Opening Ceremony at the Palais des Congres hosted a slew of international film talent with Fashionable people,art loving and Movie making minds, gracing the red carpet




 Keanu Reeves introduced his opening night film, Henry's Crime, in which he plays an apathetic tollbooth worker, who after wrongly taking the fall for a bank robbery, decides to initiate a real burglary at the very bank where he was arrested.

Even Eva Mendes was there to support of her latest film “Last Night” which also stars Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington.
 700 guests joined the Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid for a special dinner to commemorate the event. 

A whole hearted Moroccan feast, Guests dined on a massive array of traditional dishes including chicken tagine, veal shank with eggplant, cumin fish, honey couscous, barley-filled pumpkin, and a variety of famous Moroccan pastries. 
The Royal Orchestra was on hand to entertain guests with decadent film scores. 



The Marrakech International Film Festival was founded in 2001 under the vision of Daniel Toscan du Platier under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Under Toscan's direction, the festival helped to put Marrakesh on the map as an international destination for the arts. Each year, top talent descends upon Marrakech to view films in French, Arabic and English, and participate in special events from Master Classes to celebratory dinners.
