Inspired by the ambience of Forodhani, during the Islamic festive season of Eid where zanzibaris flock to this place for a sundowner, gathering with friend and families wearing their finest colorful ensembles, all resembling a garden of Eden filled with flustering colorful butterflies. A butterfly that evokes the passion for love and life.

(Kipepeo is a Kiswahili word for Butterfly which also has a synonymous meaning to a hand fan, a Swahili traditional hand fans used by the coastal women to cool their face during the warm summer.)The collection Kipepeo shall be unveiled simultaneously back to back in Luanda, Angola on 10 December at the Fashion Business Angola and on 11 Dec in Maputo at the Annual Mozambique Fashion Week.

Mustafa Hassanali in 2010 launched three collections, Parfum D’amour in February in Douala, Cameroon.
