Wikileaks is starting to take the Hype in Africa...

Ghana Replies to Wikileaks
Wikileaks has hit another spot in Africa by stating that the president of Ghana Professor John Mills had said that elements of his government are compromised by drugs traffickers..now thats tough...tough on a president to admit that he's administration has indeed gone astray.

UK officials found packets of cocaine taped under passenger seats on a KLM flight before passengers boarded the plane," a US embassy cable from 2007 said. President Mills took office in January 2009, promising to tackle alarming rate of drug issues in the country. But according to a cable from June 2009, the president told the US ambassador to Ghana, Donald Teitelbaum, that he knew "elements of his government are already compromised and that officials at the airport tipped off drug traffickers about operations there.

Sometimes I  wonder what would have happened if  something like Wikileaks went down in Tz..All the Goddamn Govenrment secrets..in full writing..would've been pretty interesting..
Full Statement from Ghana Government
The Government of Ghana has become aware of reports in the press of purported leaked diplomatic cables on Ghana.
The Government of Ghana will like to reiterate for the avoidance of doubt that the President Mills-led administration remains committed and unwavering in the fight against narcotics regardless of the threats that the leaks pose to this fight.
It will be recalled that President Mills demonstrated leadership by example as a clear signal of his commitment and emboldened security personnel by voluntarily subjecting himself for body search. This singular act sent a loud message that nobody would be shielded or allowed to engage in the illicit act no matter their connections or status.
President Mills has no cause to suspect his appointees and believes they are with him in this noble task to make Ghana a no-transit point for narcotics. He also knows what to do to those who fall short of the laws of Ghana and the standards he has set and will not have spared any such person neither will he seek anybody’s assistance before dealing with such persons.
Despite the challenges inherited, the Government of President Mills will relentlessly continue with this fight and will ensure that the Narcotic Control Board (NACOB) receives continuous support evidenced by the historic increase in budgetary allocation to NACOB and that the process to elevate the NACOB into a stronger independent Commission which is at a very advanced stage continues. We have maintained similar commitment in assisting and strengthening all the Security Agencies.
Our efforts in fighting the drug menace and the positive results achieved so far have been acknowledged by well-meaning Ghanaians and the world at large and for this we are highly encouraged.

Hon. John Tia AKOLOGU

Grace Mugabe Sues Over Wikileaks Claims
Looks like someone's really mad,

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's wife Grace has sued the Standard newspaper for $15 million for publishing a WikiLeaks' cable linking her to obtaining diamonds illegally.
Grace Mugabe’s spokesperson says the newspaper wrongly identified her in cables from the U.S embassy in Harare, which claimed she and high level government made millions of dollars after hiring diggers to hand pick diamonds at a Chiadzwa mine.
The cables linking Grace Mugabe to criminal activity was allegedly discussed in a meeting between the former U.S. ambassador to Zimbabwe, James McGee and Andrew Cranswick, a top official of African Consolidates Resources, which lost mining rights at Chiadzwa.
After WikiLeaks released the cables, Cranswick denied revealing any names in the diamond scandal, according to reports out of Harare...Mmmmhh....now where did those names comes from?People trying to sell some news or smoke near a fire?
