Would you wear Black on your wedding?

Vera Wang's new Bridal collection is quite different, for starters..its black! The Brides gowns are black!

Though Im gonna be honest, where Im from, black is considered more of a mourning color than a celebratory  color, so i wouldnt even dare, unless of course.... im marrying someone i hate...(laugh gademit)
Though is there a rule against wearing other colors on your wedding? I'm open to colors on a wedding, I saw a wedding once where the bride didnt wear white and it looked so good (see here)...there isnt really a written rule against wearing other colors on ur wedding is there?..

Queen Victoria popularised the trend for white when she wore the shade for her wedding to Prince Albert in 1840, many brides - including royals - had worn gowns in a variety of hues.
Many wore heavily embroidered brocade gowns with silver and white thread, while others, especially in Western Europe, commonly wore red.
Throughout the Western world, bright blues and yellows were popular, as well as more practical colours such as brown, grey and, yes, often black.
But then Queen Victoria chose a white gown, and a new wave of bridal couture was born.
Many elite families wore white as a status symbol - an expensive gown that could be easily ruined was a sign of conspicuous consumption.
By the end of the 19th century the white dress was the wedding garb of choice for elite brides on both sides of the Atlantic.
