We know the negative images of Africa — famine and disease, conflict and corruption. But, says Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, there’s another, less-told story happening in many African nations: one of reform, economic growth and business opportunity.
I sat down and listened to Ngozi (The finance Minister of Nigeria) in this 4 year old speech, from march 2007 and i think it deserves to be honored, on a month like this a very brilliant woman said something that has been on my mind that i have been yapping for like year to practically anyone who talks to me and puts the words 'Africa and Business' in one line. Kill the stereotype and unlock the potential,anyway..
She also spoke about a matter close to my heart..Aid Vs Trade...but a question that always leads me back to doubt....with our governments, can we make it without aid? But is there much that can be done on financial aid that hasnt been done over the decades?
She spoke in Arusha,Tanzania later on that year
