Once upon a time, I knew a girl who woke up every morning and read her star signs, she never crossed a black cat and never let a black cat cross her, never broke a mirror and lived her life the safest way, when things went right, she was having good luck, when things went left, it was bad luck.
Life and luck she used to say..when your star is bright, good things happen. I don't want to cross my luck!
Here's the deal, I don't believe in luck, I don't believe in good luck and bad luck. what is luck but approximated probabilities?Luck is giving up your control to chance. But most things don’t happen by chance. They happen by diligence and perseverance. The best inventions did not come from luck. They came from ingenuity and hard work. They came from years of persistence that led to one amazing day of discovery.
Some people question why good things happen to bad people and why Bad things happen to good people..What is life without a pain without a little gain? I always ask, it doesn't mean Coz your good your entitled to a lifetime of good occurrences, then how would we learn, how would we cope, it has nothing to do with luck...the world is not in equilibrium, not everything fits. What matters is we make best of our situations bad or good. Somethings happens out of our control, bad or good, the lucky people take these random events to parade their good luck and people look past the hard work and determination, the unlucky people, the losers are the ones who sit down and drink on Monday morning about how bad their luck is, they don't take much from their situations, they don't learn from it and don't make anything of it, to them, the whole world is just 'luck' They give up and claim they're luck has run out, while the 'lucky people' keep trying and trying and they don't parade their failures as unlucky reasons to stay mad at the universe for not passing a slice of whats nice.
Some other people seem to have a lot of luck than others, I believe..we all have valuing amount of potentials, the pursuit of life is for the individual to achieve his or her own potential in their own individual ways. Your ability to recognize opportunities and miss misfortunes sometimes depends on built in individual insight. Being at the right place with the right attitude, notice your surroundings, recognize other peoples scarifies.
At times we do things so hard with so much effort and at the end of year, when we are rewarded of our effort, the lazy people, tell us how 'lucky' we are, its not luck. See past the 'Luck'
I don't believe in success due to good luck and failure due to bad luck... I believe in hard work, determination and dedication, brilliance and originality, preparations and opportunity. Blaming our chances on luck is an excuse, we try to say that it wasn't our fault because luck wasn't on our side or she made it because she was lucky. No, she made it coz she made it, you failed because you need to either keep trying or get better at what you do.
I had a few occurrences that made me think twice, things happened that i never expected, that made me think, My gosh, I'm having a cloud of good luck over me today. It happens to everyone every once in a while, things seem to be going all wrong, or all right. Is it luck?
No good things happen so do bad things, it has nothing to do with luck. There are forces behind everything that happens for a reason,good luck happening to useless entities,bad luck happening to those that are not deserving of it...everything has its reasons..
Another thing i don't believe, that things cause luck, that there are rituals and items that are responsible for luck...I guess it makes some people feel better to put their trust in something. That it will help them and every when something happens they point to the item, like its a charm of some kind..but we don't realize all the good things that happen to us daily without the 'charm'
So there is no luck..its all just Randomness of Life.., but whatever you believe in, if it makes you happy, stick with it.
Random thought: A man wakes up gets a call that he's been promoted to an executive position, he screams jumps out of bed steps on a plug and dies...Does he have good luck or bad luck?
