Tanzania To take part in Festival of Africa, South Africa

Tanzania is among 53 African countries that will take part in the Festival of Africa aimed to boost tourism, trade and investment, art and culture, sports development and international economic relations in South Africa. Revealed by Geoffrey Tengeneza, Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) Senior Public Relations officer,who told The Guardian that the event will take place at the prestigious Melrose Arch Precinct in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg and each of the 53 countries would be accommodated at the festival.

The packages to be offered to each country would include exhibitions space, security, entertainment, decor, equipment, hospitality and accommodation, transport and project management.

African countries would showcase the continent’s tourism, culture and business opportunities that they have as well as a venue for the hosting of VIPs in the business, government, arts, media and investment sectors.
Apart from that during the festival, each member state will have its own specially branded space where their tour operators would use to promote tourism.The Festival of Africa would be a destination for media and tourists who want to sample all what Africa has to offer in a secure, world class venue and has been organised by Regional Tourism Organisation of Southern Africa (RETOSA) in collaboration with Adele Lucas Promotions, he said.
According to Tengeneza, the people, the dress, the music, the dance, the food, the history and enterprises all would be on the show in a mixture of static exhibitions and live entertainment for visitors to enjoy and learn from.

Tailoring it to take place parallel with the World Cup event is just Genius,its a good opportunity for Tanzania coz lets face it our Tourism potentials are not really comforting, heck we need this! I see alot of Countries benefiting from this Festival. I hope we do deliver. Tourism being first priority, second should be fixing up these tourists area, some of them really need fixed infrastructure if you know what I mean,  our Tourism potentials should work both ways. I hope they stress on our biggest assets this time out there...
