Angela and Vanessa Simmons, along with up and coming singers Jessica Jarrell and Aaron Fresh, spent Memorial Day Weekend hanging out with troops all Friday afternoon (may 28)at the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum in New York City On behalf of their Pastry shoe/clothing line.

You gotta love and Van ,fly as usual, troops musta been smiling all day!

Lewis Hamilton wins turkish Grande Prix

I'm a big fan of Formula one, BIG FAN and my team is Mclaren, them winning in Turkish grand prix is the world to me!!!! I'm so ecstatic!!

Lewis claimed his first victory of the season in Turkey on Sunday after the Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and race leader Mark Webber had collided.That enabled Hamilton and Button, who were third and fourth at the time, to complete a tremendous one-two for McLaren Mercedes.The  pair enthralled viewers across the world with their titanic tussle in the closing laps.It was edge-of-the-seat stuff as the two Brits raced side-by-side into Turn 12 on lap 48 with Button taking his team-mate on the outside.

Lewis Hamilton on his duel with Jenson Button in Turkey:

Lewis responded by regaining the lead in thrilling fashion as the two McLarens sped down the start/finish straight, with the two cars almost coming together at the first corner.
Hamilton’s girlfriend,Nicole Scherzinger,who was there cheering her man all the way...(whats this I've heard about them  breaking up)

She could hardly watch in the McLaren garage, such heart-stopping,

high-octane drama. “We’re allowed to race out there, but we have to be sensible.“At the end of the day we’re a team: we both want to win the constructors’ title and we both want to win the drivers’ title. But we’re not stupid.
“I wouldn’t do anything dangerous to touch Jenson – and vice versa – and that’s the great thing about racing each other. We know we have that cushion and that respect for each other, so we don’t really have a problem with it.
“Having said all that, winning today [Sunday] doesn’t feel quite as good as it sometimes does.
“That’s because it’s a little bit different from some of my previous race victories: ideally, the racer in me wants to win by overtaking the guys in front, not by seeing them crash out in front of me.
“Rather than inheriting a win, it’s much nicer to fight your way past your rivals and earn the win the hard way.”

Reigning F1 world champion Button certainly made Hamilton work for the winner’s 25 points in those dramatic closing laps.Button said:

“At the end, I had a run on Lewis out of Turn Eight. I don’t know why he was a bit slow, but I got a good run into Turn 12 and managed to get past him.

“We had a good little battle and we were wheel-to-wheel for three corners, but it positioned me wrong for the final corner, I got a poor exit and he was able to get back past me along the pits straight and on the inside into Turn One.”

And, after seeing the Red Bull drivers take each other out, Button added: “It was a tough battle, but we didn’t touch and we still finished first and second, so that’s how you do it.”

KKK costumes? What is this Teacher teaching her students?

A history teacher  Catherine Ariemma, a five-year veteran with the Lumpkin County school system,was placed on administrative leave Monday after she let four students wear Ku Klux Klan outfits in a historical reenactment. She teaches an advanced placement history class at Lumpkin County High.
Her students were filming reenactments of various historical periods , and four donned Klan outfit. Students saw them as they walked through a hallway while wearing the costumes to an outdoor shoot, and  the parents of an African-American child later complained about it.


Many people suggested that,it was just a history enactment that it should be taken lightly but Dressing up those KKKs,it's disturbing, and even worse to think about, the teacher should have thought that through before doing it, its just so sensitive, too sensitive. And just the thought of it, what is it about KKK was she teaching them? Why did she pick that of all things....i mean come on, you gotta think. I don't think i would tolerate some kids dressing up as the KKK as much as I wouldn't tolerate a bunch of kids wearing NAZI costumes, its a part of history that is very destructive and strikes negativity that we shouldn't be spreading or initiating..just a thought.

South Korean couple jailed after starving baby due to their internet addiction

 A South Korean couple have been jailed after their baby starved to death while they raised a virtual child online...seriously!!!? The husband, a 41-year-old taxi driver, and his 25-year-old wife were sentenced to two years in prison, but the woman's term was suspended because she is pregnant....i hope she isn't pregnant online as well!! These twits!!

The couple were addicted to the game, which saw them act as virtual parents, spending an average of 10 hours a day at Internet cafes while only feeding their daughter once a day.The baby girl was severely neglected and was beaten for crying....how cruel

They discovered their baby had died when they returned to their home in Suwon, South of Seoul last September, after having spent all night at an Internet cafe.The autopsy revealed the child had died of malnutrition.
The court said: "This constitutes an inhumane crime where the defendants abandoned even the most basic responsibilities as parents, and is unforgivable beyond any excuse or reason." its is quite sad that it has come to this, that internet addiction is getting this serious, really people? Okay I'm addicted but not thaaat addicted, I never thought it could be possible for parents to pick internet over a kid...gee..where is the world headed?

Elton John Performs at Mawazine Music Festival despite ban

Sir Elton John performed at the Mawazine music festival in Morocco though his appearance is said to be banned.Islamist groups had tried to prevent his appearance, claiming the openly gay singer would offend public morals.But organisers of the Mawazine festival in Rabat defended his invitation in the interests of "cultural tolerance".The festival - which is under the patronage of Morocco's King Mohammed VI - has featured artists from around the world, among them Julio Iglesias, BB King and Carlos Santana.Security was heightened but it was later reported that there was some turbulence.

More than 40,000 people had attended the free concert claimed Aziz Daki, the festival's artistic director.Members of Morocco's Islamist Justice and Development Party had tried to have the event called off on the grounds that it would pose "a risk of encouraging homosexuality".But Mr Daki said to do so would "undermine the respect of privacy" and "breach certain values that the international Mawazine festival is based on".

 Elton John was reported saying "I thank Morocco, the royal palace and the festival for inviting me," the British star said on Wednesday. "I am proud to be singing in Morocco.
"He made headlines earlier this year when he claimed Jesus was a "super-intelligent gay man" in an interview with a US magazine.

50 cent's drastic weight loss

 50 Cent dropped 54 pounds in just nine weeks in order to play a football player diagnosed with cancer in the new movie Things Fall Apart, In the movie 50 Cent plays a football player diagnosed with Cancer,and I have to admit he doesn't even look like himself at all! He had to cut down drastically on his food intake and undertake a gruelling exercise routine to drop the weight.Shocking pictures posted on his website were captioned with the details of his weight loss. Which i gladly copied, whenever I need them, if it worked for 50..hey..why not give it  a try.

"He dropped from 214 pounds to an astonishing 160 with a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks."

However 50 insists (on his website)  he's putting on weight again after finishing filming and embarking on a tour. He said: “I’m starving. I’ve been eating. I’ll be back in shape in no time.” Well 50 we cant wait, I lost 10 bucks betting on if that was 50 or not..and i lost...it just didn't look like 50!
