I always have room on my spot for people who attempt to make a change in Africa with their status with their abilities, I admire those people. The Didier Drogba Foundation:Established in 2007 to provide health and educational facilities to those in need in Africa, last year they began their biggest project to date, to build a hospital in Abidjan with the aim to provide basic medical care. £500,000 was raised at last year’s ball and work has now begun on developing the land and designing the hospital with building work due to start soon. The next phase is to begin training staff and to buy all the necessary medicines and equipment for the hospital. Didier hosted the ball on 4th December at Grosvenor House, with some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment in raising money for this amazing charity. Two Hosts, for French Speakers One for English
After the success of the first edition, the Didier Drogba Foundation hosted its second Charity Ball. This event, coupled with an auction, aimed to promote the Foundation and its priorities, to provide financial and material support in health and education to the African people.
