UHURU -meaning the African Freedom

Its a new ready to wear brand by Ally Rehmtullah & Vida Mahimbo.
Its a brand for everyone - great quality products produced in Italy and will be sold in East Africa at a reasonable price. The idea behind Uhuru is to promote Tanzanians/East Africans to wear local designers products. 

As a designer - producing a ready to wear line is the only way to grow - so many people want to wear me but can't afford me - so this brand will merge everyone together - hence everyone can afford it & be able to wear me! Uhuru is going to be launched and ready for sale in February! Would love your input/ideas and your support to help the Tanzania Fashion Industry grow!

I Love it when two  successful designers work together, like H&M and Lanvin and I love the whole idea behind Uhuru of creating an alternate brand for people who want to wear the certain designer but cant afford it, I've seen big designers do that, create a sort of Diffusion brand, Like Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani. Its nice to know that our Tanzanian Designers are taking the small buyers with less spending energy into consideration into their products to create something that suits them as well at a cheaper price, its a nice way to capture the market wholly!
