BullFight Ban In Spain
The parliament of Catalonia has voted to ban bullfighting. Which now makes it the first region of mainland Spain to ban bullfighting.180,000 people have signed a petition arguing that the practice is barbaric and outdated. But Bullfight supporters insist that the corrida (that's what its called), is a long time tradition and they're being unfair by banning it and some have even said it is an attempt by Catalans to mark their difference from the rest of Spain by rejecting one of its best and oldest known traditions.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE today's obsession with banning things, ban this, ban that, who's in favor...ban this that, Infact.. The only ban I would support is a ban on people who want to ban things. ..But For gods sake this is absurd, Tradition or not. Not all traditions must stand for eternity you know. So although i think its up to the Spaniards to decide, not all traditions must be continued , if they're harmful to he society in some way then why go on with it?
And I personally do not understand why people enjoy watching animals being baited and killed, its Barbaric, but then I don't even watch wrestling...I've seen a couple of Bull fights, not live luckily, but i prefer the version where the Bull doesn't die.Ban the fighting. Stop killing the bulls in this way. If you have to eat their meat, do it in such a way that they feel no pain or anguish.
And though most people have said its up to the Spaniards to decide..I'm not really sure on this one; perhaps we should ask the bulls for their opinion.
Also while they're at it...
ban the burka.
Ban the Scots from playing the bagpipes.
Ban gangsta rap.
In the end it might not be our choice or decision but these animals deserve a right to die peacefully donchu think? how wud u feel if you knew your death was gonna be so violent, so barbaric, tradition or not , I'm just against it. But can we really come in between tradition?
