The late Yves Saint Laurent, French Algerian designer...known to be the first designer to create tuxedo suit for women and particularly first to  Saint Laurent was known for celebrating black models. He is credited with being the first designer to use Black models in his runway show ...

 His Top Muse Was the late Guinean borne Senegalese Super model Katoucha (who is the reason for this post btw) she was said to be  the world’s most successful black model - Katoucha once commanded hundreds of thousands of pounds for her appearances on the catwalk.

..on Feb 2nd 2008 the Guinea Models body was found in the Parisian River... Her death still a mystery, though Police  reports said  she just might have been intoxicated and fell in the seine.
